Ashcroft has put Labour ahead by 4 in his weekly poll today.
This is all we have to say about it.
Individual polls are volatile. Especially Ashcroft’s weekly number.
This poll isn’t meaningless. It just needs to be taken along with all the others. And when we do – as May2015‘s 5-day Poll of Polls does – we can see that we’re still swinging between a tie and a small Labour lead (Labour now lead by 1.1 per cent on May2015, up from 0.2 per cent before the Ashcroft poll).
We need some more polls before we have any new stories. We’ll have two more tonight: YouGov’s first of five a week, and ComRes’ latest, which will now be released through the Mail rather than the Indy.
