There was much news yesterday of how the Greens will soon have more members than Ukip (and as many as the Lib Dems).
Yet Ukip are polling about three times higher in the national polls. Clearly the Greens are proving more able to convert supporters into members.
But how do all the parties compare? Only one truly stands out—and it is north of the border. We calculated the figures for supporters by using May2015‘s Poll of Polls and multiplying them against 2010 turnout (just under 30 million voters).
